A Little Bit About the Dauphin Consumers Co-operative
The Dauphin Consumers Co-operative Ltd. started in 1930 by a group of local agricultural producers. Those few farmers started by purchasing a few barrels of fuel; a few barrels of fuel grew over the years and now the Dauphin Consumers Co-operative has grown into a multi million dollar retail with eight locations in two communities.
The Dauphin Consumers Co-operative is a pillar of support within its respective communties. Not only does it move forward by giving back through various community sponsorships and donations, the Dauphin Consumers Co-op also returns its profits to its members yearly by patronage allocation all while employing 140 members of this community.
Like any co-operative, the Dauphin Consumers Co-op is only as succesful as its members make it, thankfully the 10,000 members that belong to the Dauphin Consumers Co-op have made it a very succesful entreprise.
With many more years of business ahead of it the Dauphin Consumers Co-op continues to grow all while maintaining strong financial planning and thorough operating measures to ensure accountability to and sustainability for its members.
