Donation Requests and Guidelines

Requests:

In today's society, requests for support grow annually in number and variety. While recognizing the growing needs of our community we realize that we cannot support each group, and we have identified key areas of sponsorship dependent on the needs of our community.

Guidelines:
The Dauphin Consumers Co-op reviews each request as it applies to our Member Relations program goals, areas for support and the following guidelines:

-    Groups must be non-profit and community organizations within the general trading area of Dauphin Consumers Co-op.
-    Community level donations will have priority
-    Special considerations maybe be given to groups that adhere to co-operative principals
-    All donations are subject to approval by member relations and are at the discretion of the member relations coordinator

The following is a list of groups to which Dauphin Consumers Co-op considers inappropiate to donate to:

• Individuals or self interest groups (including socials and benefits)
• Conferences, workshops and conventions
• Political groups

Limitations on giving:
The Dauphin Consumers Co-op recognizes the vital and worthwhile role performed by the many charitable organizations in our community. However, due to limited financial resources, we will restrict our support to those groups who best match our objectives.

Submitting a request:
To be considered for support, all requests must be in writing.  These requests may be dropped off, emailed or faxed to the contact information listed on this page. 

- Name, address, phone number, email, and contact person's name and title
- Description of event/reason for sponsorship request including date and deadline for donation
- Type and amount of support requested
- How your organization will benefit from the support
- Proposed recognition of donation
