Welcome to Dauphin consumers Cooperative Membership Benifits.

The Dauphin Consumers Cooperative is owned by the members.

Each membership entitles the holder to one vote for the Board of Directors at the annual general meeting.

Anyone may become a member simply by filling out an application form and paying a one-time membership fee of $10.00.

As a member you collect patronage on all purchases made at any Dauphin Co-op outlet.

Once a member has accumulated $100 of equity in their membership account, 75% of the equity they earn in a given year will be applied to the member's account and 25% will be paid out with a cheque.

Equity days are held in April of every year after the annual general meeting. Anyone is welcome to attend the annual general meeting.

The annual equity allocation rates are decided upon by the Board of Directors and announced at the annual general meeting. 

Following are the allocation rates for 2008:

Credit Policy

As a member of the Dauphin Consumers Cooperative you may apply for a charge account.  Charge accounts are issued to members based on credit bureau ratings.

Applications for charge accounts may be obtained at the administration office, agro & home centres.

Purchases from the agro centres, home centres and gas bar may be charged on a Dauphin Co-op charge account.

Our charge accounts are 30 day accounts and the balance charged in a given month must be paid in full by the end of the next month.

The Dauphin Co-op also has agro accounts, and allows extended credit for inputs on approved charge accounts.

The annual interest rate is 18%, and agro accounts with extended credit terms are charged a monthly 1% administration fee.

Charge accounts may be paid at any Dauphin Co-op location with cash, cheque, debit or credit card.
